ARCHITECT: FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT (1905-08)
The Unity Temple is a Unitarian Universalist church is a National Historic Landmark in Oak Park, Illinois.
Frank Lloyd Wright's family was Unitarian and, when the old church burned down, he was commissioned to design the new one.
It is "considered to be one of Wright's most important structures dating from the first decade of the twentieth century."
Some architects believe it to be the first "modern" building in the world because of its "consolidation of aesthetic intent and structure
through use of a single material, reinforced concrete."
I was not able to visit the interior of the church and my evaluation is based on the exterior alone.
